Exercises for Different Ages & Fitness Levels

Exercise

Exercise is the most significant way to improve health and decrease pain. Appropriate exercises can increase strength, improve flexibility, and reduce back pain. Most of the doctors accept that exercise plays a vital role and is considered as one of the most important treatment options in the recovery of back pain.

Therapeutic Exercises

Therapeutic exercises are well-planned physical activities or systematic body movements or postures performed to improve physical function and reduce pain. These exercises may focus on one or multiple areas of the body.

Home Exercise Program

A home exercise program is a set of exercises recommended by a physical therapist or doctor to be performed by a patient in their home. The physical therapist will go over each exercise in detail with the patient to ensure the exercise is done correctly. Instructions will also be provided on how to progressively increase the intensity of the home exercise program to improve strength and function.

Exercise for Arthritis

A good exercise program typically focuses on improving range of motion, strength and cardiovascular fitness. Range-of-motion exercises prevent joint stiffness and can be performed on a daily basis. The joint is taken through its full range of motion, which gradually improves with regular exercise.
